The modern AA House is located in Barcelona and seems from an aerial view to be a cluster of triangular prisms and pyramids. It was designed by OAB as a house made up from connected pavilions posed in a simple and beautiful geometry. The many inclined roofs of the pavilions fold in different directions like origami all in white.
Contemporary homes and modern architecture are indeed all about smooth designs with well defined edges and a touch of minimalism. Located among thick vegetation and set in a region that is renowned for its amazing rainforests the home invites green into its structure quite literally! Designed by Studio MK27 it has been basically divided into two levels with the lower level being a social hub that is encapsulated completely in glass.

The inner rooms and the outside display carefully handled details warm-colored wooden paneling touches of color thin timber elements as blinds and facade decoration a smooth wood paneled ceiling in the kitchen slender steel trusses painted white in the rooms and classic accents of marble for the kitchen working areas.

Brought to life by Oslo-based studio Element Arkitekter AS the home overlooks a beautiful landscape and with the new design that it has acquired one gets the thrilling feeling of living on the edge of a cliff. The house was initially built in 1969 but had plenty of structural flaws and was inconvenient to live in and it was Element who revamped it on a large scale to create the current home.
